The farm had been relying on standard charging methods and occasional off-site charging facilities, which were proving both inconvenient and expensive. They required a dedicated on-site EV charging solution that could provide reliable, fast charging while supporting the demands of a large rural property.
Our Solution
Following a comprehensive site survey and consultation, our team designed and installed a smart EV charging solution tailored to the farm’s specific requirements.
The installation included a 22kW tethered black Zappi Eco Smart EV Charger, providing fast, reliable charging for the farm’s electric vehicles. To ensure long-term protection and system reliability, we also installed surge protection equipment, safeguarding both the charger and connected vehicles from transient voltages caused by lightning strikes and fluctuations within the electricity supply network.
Due to the farm’s isolated location and extensive land coverage, we recommended this additional protection to minimise the risk of power disturbances affecting the charging infrastructure.
As part of the project, our team managed all electrical testing, certification, and the necessary DNO (Distribution Network Operator) application process, ensuring a fully compliant and hassle-free installation from start to finish.
