Solar Panels for a Home in Warwick

The homeowners of this Warwick property were keen to invest in solar energy as a way of reducing their household energy costs. They approached us to design and install a solar PV system that would make the most of their home’s available roof space while providing a reliable source of clean, renewable electricity.

The Brief

The homeowners were interested in installing solar panels but were unsure where to start or which system would be right for their home.

They wanted to work with an experienced installer who could guide them through the entire process, from understanding how solar panels work and assessing the suitability of their property, through to selecting the right equipment and completing the installation.

Our role was to provide clear, honest and straightforward advice, helping the homeowners understand their options and design a solar PV system that suited their property, energy usage and long-term requirements.

The priority was to make the process simple and reassuring, giving the clients confidence that they were making the right investment for their home.

Our Solution

Following a comprehensive site survey, we designed and installed a bespoke solar PV system tailored to the property’s roof space, electrical installation and energy requirements.

The installation comprises 17 Jinko Tiger Neo 435W N-Type All Black Mono solar panels, providing a total installed capacity of 7.395kW.

The panels were selected for their high efficiency, advanced N-Type technology and sleek all-black finish, providing excellent performance while maintaining a clean and attractive appearance on the property.

A Fox KH8 inverter was installed to efficiently manage the electricity generated by the solar array and convert it into usable power for the home. The system also incorporates a Fox CM4800/CEFR as part of the installation.

To accurately monitor electricity being imported from and exported to the grid, we installed a NET Emlite Bi-directional Meter ECA2.n V2.1.

The system also includes a V2.1 Eddi Immersion Controller, allowing surplus solar energy to be diverted to the property’s immersion heater rather than being wasted or exported. This provides the homeowners with another way to maximise the benefits of their solar generation.

To optimise the performance of the solar array, Tigo Retrofit Frame Mounted Optimisers TS4-A-O were installed. These optimisers help maximise energy generation where individual panels may experience different operating conditions.

We also installed BirdBlocker 125mm EVO around the solar panels to help prevent birds from nesting underneath the array and protect the installation.

The system was completed with an IMO 40A 4-pole AC isolator, providing safe and accessible isolation of the AC side of the solar installation.

Components We Used

  • 17 x Jinko Tiger Neo 435W N-Type All Black Mono Solar Panels
  • 7.395kW Total Solar PV Capacity
  • Fox KH8 Inverter
  • NET Emlite Bi-directional Meter ECA2.n V2.1
  • V2.1 Eddi Immersion Controller
  • Tigo Retrofit Frame Mounted Optimisers TS4-A-O
  • Fox CM4800/CEFR
  • BirdBlocker 125mm EVO for Solar Panels
  • IMO 40A 4-Pole AC Isolator

The Results

The new solar PV system has given the homeowners greater control over their energy generation and consumption.

With 7.395kW of solar capacity, the property can now generate a significant amount of clean, renewable electricity, helping to reduce its reliance on grid-supplied energy and lower ongoing electricity costs.

The combination of the Tigo optimisers and Fox inverter helps the system make the most of the available solar generation, while the Eddi immersion controller provides an additional way for the homeowners to use surplus electricity within the property.

The bi-directional meter also enables electricity imported from and exported to the grid to be accurately monitored, allowing the homeowners to benefit from available export tariffs when they generate more electricity than they require.

The installation provides a high-quality, future-focused renewable energy solution, helping the clients reduce their energy costs while making better use of clean energy generated directly from their own home.
